Caring For Your Wave Pillow Sham
Try to launder your linens after seven uses. When we sleep, an inevitable build-up of oils, dead skin, dirt and sweat occurs.
Ideally, wash linens separately from other white items. Wash on warm cycle, removing to dryer immediately after cycle ends in order to minimize wrinkles. See Laundry Tips below.
Dryer Method: Dry on a warm setting. Remove and fold immediately after cycle ends. This will greatly minimize wrinkling.
Hanging Method: Remove sheets from washer immediately after cycle ends, shake them out very well and hang. In order to minimize wrinkles, throw into dryer five minutes before ironing.
Leave a spray or stick remover close to your bed and spot treat stains if you cannot launder immediately.
Bleach can actually cause fabrics to yellow over time. Instead, try using some of these household cleaners:
- Lemon Juice Method: Simply add 1/4 cup of lemon juice to your load of whites, right along with your detergent. The powerful citric acid will work on those tough stains during the wash cycle.
- Baking Soda & Vinegar Method: These everyday household items are both natural whiteners. Try adding 1/2 cup baking soda to your load along with regular detergent. Just before the rinse cycle, add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the load.
- Power Whitening: For even more brightening power, presoak your white bedding in a bathtub or large sink filled with warm water and 1/2 cup of vinegar. Let your whites soak in this mixture for up to an hour, then wash as normal.
